Internship Process Automation & AI in Procurement & Supply Chain

Within our procurement department, we are looking for an enthusiastic intern to contribute to an exciting and impactful automation project. Our suppliers make thousands of arrangements with our procurement team—around 2,000 connections and more than 7,000 storage locations—which are currently translated and entered manually into our system (Quintiq). This takes a lot of time and resources… and we want to change that.

Research how we can fully automate this process using AI and smart tooling.

What will you do?

Process analysis: map out how agreements between suppliers and procurement are currently processed;
Data research: analyze input formats and the structure of supplier data;
AI exploration: identify which AI models and automation solutions can be used for data translation and system input;
Build a Proof of Concept (optional): for example, an AI script or workflow that automatically recognizes data and converts it into input for Quintiq;
Provide recommendations on implementation and the impact on capacity and quality.

System integration & workflow design.

Your profile

You are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering & Management, Computer Science, or a similar field;
You have an affinity with AI, automation, or process optimization;
You work in a structured way and think in terms of solutions;
You enjoy diving into complex processes and data challenges;
You ask questions, share ideas, and are not afraid to experiment.
